Изображения святых в монументальной декорации раннехристианских и византийских храмов до ΧΙ в.

Аннотация


На основании анализа сохранившихся ансамблей мозаик и фресок  раннехристианских и византийских храмов V–XI вв. автор прослеживает основные этапы и особенности формирования разветвленной иерархической системы в изображении святых. Как показывает этот анализ, в доиконоборческом искусстве дифференцированный подход к изображению групп святых еще не был развит, выделялись лишь самые основные категории: апостолы, мученики и пророки. В VII–IX вв. в особый чин начинают выделяться святители. И только в ансамблях Χ – начала XI в. формируется дробная и четко выстроенная система изображения святых, основанная на группировке по чинам и по общему житию или дню поминовения. Эта система впоследствии станет классической для искусства Византии и всех православных стран.
